How is WAM calculated at the University of Melbourne?
UniMelb calculates WAM as the sum of each subject's percentage mark multiplied by its credit points, divided by the total credit points attempted. A 25-point subject therefore has twice the impact of a 12.5-point subject. WAM is calculated to three decimal places and appears on your official transcript.

Yes. At the University of Melbourne, all subjects with a numeric mark (including failed results) are included in your WAM. Subjects flagged with '^' on your transcript (such as COVID-19-impacted grades where you opted out), Advanced Standing from another institution, and CNT (Continuing) grades with no numeric mark are excluded.
